Thank you for visiting my website. I’ve been teaching Italian since 2002. The foundation was there at birth because  mia mamma, my mom is an Italian immigrant from Naples, Italy. 

My interest in perfecting my Italian language skills led me to both the Department of Italian Studies at Indiana University and L’Università di Bologna in Bologna, Italy. After completing my studies with two degrees, Italian and Communications, I enjoyed a 25-year career as a Television Sports Director and Anchor/Reporter in major markets across the United States. 

Never losing sight of my real interest, in 1990 I began yearly visits to Italy. In 1999, I retired from the TV business and began focusing on my passion for all things Italian including designing and conducting tours to Italy and of course, teaching.  As an adult learner you'll have questions and I'll have the answers. I’ve developed a curriculum that begins with a solid foundation of basic language skills and continues with a logical progression that allows each lesson to build upon your ability to speak Italian. Naturally, you’ll also learn about Italian culture and this will help you understand the customs and traditions many have followed throughout their lives. 

Learning should be fun and stress-free, so I hold my classes in Italian restaurants where camaraderie and laughter mix with dinner and wine.  If you’d like to meet for private lessons, I assure you that one size does not fit all. So, I tailor the lessons to fit YOU so we can reach YOUR goals whether that be vacation preparation, a level of fluency or simply to reconnect with your Italian heritage.
